I came across a critical review of Akopyan & Company, CPA on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Tax Service’.
DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Akopyan & Company, CPA with a pinch of salt.

I was looking to transfer my small business tax needs to a new CPA/firm and contacted Akopyan & Company to learn more about their services.Scott returned my email inquiry promptly, which I was thrilled about as I reached out to them during a busy time in tax season.I was very clear about my business needs (QB for bookkeeping, Gusto for payroll) and was looking for accounting services working with these interfaces.I was simply requesting ball park estimates for yearly tax services.After evading all of my questions about their payment structure, I decided to book a ‘meet & greet requiring a $200 deposit, in order to move forward with establishing services.Come to find out, their business structure was the farthest thing from what I was seeking (requiring clients to ditch QB and use their overpriced payroll services), and their rates were far beyond what I said my price range was in my initial email.They had no problem taking my $200, however the transaction was awkward for obvious reasons.Could have just told me in an email that you werent the right fit.When a CPA is uncomfortable talking about money and his own fee structure ..red flag.
