I came across a critical review of Arthur on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Forman Drilling RIG’.
DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Arthur with a pinch of salt.
Here is what the review says –
He known by the name Arthur and starts off by liking you on the dating site named Happn. He then request to talk to you on WhatsApp since he is traveling on business and is not very frequent on the Happn site. For approximately 6 days he talks and sends picture of himself which at this point Im not even sure if its really him Then tragedy happens, and he needs to borrow a small sum of money ($300.00)to help him with a project that supposedly goes sideways.Apparently apparently in less than 24 hours hes collected money from a step sister and some orhers but is shy $300 of the almost $8,000 he needs to complete the project.He is smooth and tries to romance you by sending emojis of flowers and other items but as time goes on the grammar becomes very difficult to understand with many grammatical mistakes. He claims he was born in Florida but his folks who are deceased were from England and France. He also supposedly lives in New Jersey (Newark) for the past 12 years as he was relocated from his company. When you ask for the conversation to be taken offline and on a call he agrees but prolongs to commit on when.Also apparently he was married for two years and his wife passed away ( he uses the term late from when someone is deceased) and then dated someone a year ago that supposedly cheated on him. Both his parents are deceased(late) and seems to not have any family in the US .I immediately blocked him and took down my Happn account. Ladies Beware

It is difficult to ascertain whether Arthur is a Scam, or Legit, based on this single review. In the coming weeks/days, I will try to research deeper into Arthur, analyze and list more critical reviews and identify a pattern (or lack of) to substantiate the claim mentioned above.
Regardless, until then, we give the benefit of doubt to the reviewer and list Arthur as someone you need to avoid (for now).
