I came across a critical review of Brookline Bank on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Brookline Bank Is Very Deceitful’.
DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Brookline Bank with a pinch of salt.

Brookline Bank is very deceitful. It is no longer the old Medford Cooperative. It is now a corporate business who does not care about its customers.They lie to the credit bureaus. And tell people who have loans that they will be assured to help them in any way.Yet when Brookline Bank took over they would not do anything to help an elderly woman (even though the Medford Cooperative assured her she would be safe and they would work with her.) who was ill and they threatened to take her house away and would not negotiate at all!Once it became Brookline Bank it was no longer the bank that had a heart and care about their customers.I would not recommend this bank to anyone.
