Our experience with Castle & Cooke Mortgage, LLC couldn’t have been more negative.Buying a home is almost always an unpleasant process but he made it so much worse.Despite saying we were “100% good” he called us 10 days before we were suppose to close and said there was an issue with our loan.I’ll leave the details out but the most important part was his attitude.As we were scrambling to make things work he stopped returning my husband’s phone calls.We left 2 messages on his cell phone, 2 at his office, and sent two emails…crickets.I decided to call him from my office phone (a number he wouldn’t recognize) and he picked right up.When we finally got him on the line he was rude and borderline argumentative.Even if he was right that the loan couldn’t be done (he wasn’t, we closed on July 10th with another lender at the same rate) his conduct was uncalled for.There’s no reason to dodge calls and definitely no reason to be rude to a client.Run, don’t walk, away from this one.
