Chenal Family Practice – Legit or Scam?

I came across a critical review of Chenal Family Practice on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘The woman in billing was incredibly rude, inconsiderate’.

DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Chenal Family Practice with a pinch of salt.

The medical staff – mainly Dr. Katherine Hurst – was lovely. I really enjoyed my appointment with her and felt she really wanted to help me in my endeavor to get healthy.However, the administrative staff is the worst I have ever seen. Specifically, the woman in billing was incredibly rude, inconsiderate, and unhelpful.The Chenal Family Practice makes a point of running excessive tests on new patients.They market these tests as them “going the extra mile,” but in reality, it is a complete money grab.They do not make you aware or even hint to clients that the excessive testing may not be covered by the client’s insuranceDespite the fact the client gives their insurance information when making the appointment – and for the one out of ten that do know their insurance.The practice doesn’t tell you what tests are being run beforehand so you could look it up under your insurance.In short, there was no sense of obligation to the client. I understand they are running a business, but they are cheating people out of money.I left the office owing upwards of $500 when I went in to the office for the standard wellness exam.
