I came across a critical review of First Centennial Mortgage on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Customer Service’.
DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against First Centennial Mortgage with a pinch of salt.
Here is what the review says –
We worked with Mark Hubbard on a double application for a home that his real estate agent wife had listed. We made an offer on the home and were told the seller required a double application and that we had to use the listing agents husband to do the second application. It felt fishy and our real estate agent told us that shed only ever seen a double application requirement one other time in her 30+ year career. We jumped through all the hoops for Mark, provided pay stubs, tax info, and proof of funds (which showed 3 times the amount we listed as our down payment).Mark grilled our loan agent, questioning the interest rate wed gotten and requesting our loan officers internal company rate sheet (which is not only ethical but possibly illegal). When our loan officer pointed out that it seemed like Mark was trying to steal our business big surprise! we ended up losing the house to another offer by only $5000.We were not even given a chance to counter and I believe it had everything to do with the fact that Mark and his wife knew we wouldnt be using him to fund the loan.Mark didnt even fully complete the loan application himself, he used our loan officer to do the leg work. Stay away!
