First Source Insurance Agency – Legit or Scam?

I came across a critical review of First Source Insurance Agency on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Silly Mistake’.

DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against First Source Insurance Agency with a pinch of salt.

My dad actually found First Source Insurance Agency for a Quitclaim Deed.He did it and they misspelled someone’s name… so he had to go back and get that fixed.Okay… silly mistake. Fast forward a year…My dad recommends First Source Insurance Agency to me for a Quitclaim Deed I had to do as well… We signed our papers in December… they didn’t send it out to the county until mid/end of January.As a result I had to do a rate extension fee through my bank to hold on to the rate.As I called them to see what was going on, they informed me that don’t even make copies of their documents before sending it up.What the hell? Are they really professionals?I ended up doing a new Quitclaim deed with a notary through the mortgage company I used.All in all, because I decided to save a few bucks, and because this company can’t seem to do legal papers in a timely manner, the new Quitclaim Deed + Notary + Rate extension fee cost me $1200.All because I decided to try to save a few bucks.Worst part? I FINALLY got some letter from the county a couple weeks after I finalized everything with my mortgage company.And of course, it was cash only so this company was not willing to give me a refund.If you decide to go with these guys, ASK FOR COPIES OF EVERYTHING, FOLLOW UP, AND BE DILIGENT.If you’re busy, like I am, just go with another company and pay a few extra bucks.
