Frank Jonnson – Legit or Scam?

I came across a critical review of Frank Jonnson on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Frank Jonnson Modeling Scam’.

DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Frank Jonnson with a pinch of salt.

Here is what the review says –

I am aware of similar scams so I was not a true victim, but I’m reporting to help others avoid the scam.The scammer offers a high pay for a one-day job and offers many details to avoid seeming fake. The promise is that they would mail a check to the victim and they would need to deposit it to their account and use part of it to “pay for materials that would be used”.. Those payments would go to others involved and after it’s too late the check would bounce (since it’s fake) and the victim would be left with $0.Below is the email I was sent:Hello Talent , I’m Frank Jonnson from Basic Hands photography inc ,We working on launching a website and Magazine .We are looking for both female and Male who can be a lifestyle model of website and new magazine .Its going to be a one time job offer and applicants don’t have to be professional model.The benefit of this modeling is that you make your portfolio as a model, and get paid  .This is not one time event, and web site goes on business, so you might be able to do this modeling continuously upon your talent.PROJECT PERIOD : Starting from 28th of September through October  31 th 2019 .Please stated your Availability period between the date stated above also .LOCATION: we prefer studio settings in any location in your city. Of course,you and the supervisor will choose a  studio very close to your location so it would be easy for you and you don’t have to travel anywhere,SESSION TIME : 4-5 HOURS  .NOTICE : You are free to bring in escorts or friends if that would give you more confidence.The photo sessions are closed to non-participants.ATTIRES AND MAKEUP ARRANGEMENT : Makeup’s item will be provided to you at the shooting location, except for your attire(dresses/clothing) for the shoot, which would be sent to you from a store via FedEx courier service priority as soon as they received your measurements statistics .The payment has to be done in your name for proper customization on your attires and must tally with your records that would be sent along to the designer. The fund that you would use to pay the store attendant for your fashion accessories would not be from your pocket,it would be issued in one payment to you along with that of your advance payment I.e. {your advanced payment $300 ,plus $2150 for your attires/fashion accessories and the shipment fee all in one valid Check}.As soon as you cashed the check, and deduct $300 endorsed for your advance pay, the rest of the fund ($2150) is meant for your fashion accessories, customization and shipment charges that you will send to the store attendants/designer. It is difficult to ascertain whether Frank Jonnson is a Scam, or Legit, based on this single review. In the coming weeks/days, I will try to research deeper into Frank Jonnson, analyze and list more critical reviews and identify a pattern (or lack of) to substantiate the claim mentioned above.

Regardless, until then, we give the benefit of doubt to the reviewer and list Frank Jonnson as someone you need to avoid (for now).
