I came across a critical review of Houston Police Credit Union on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Houston Police Credit Union Is No Good’.
DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Houston Police Credit Union with a pinch of salt.
Here is what the review says –
Houston Police Credit Union is no good. Its reps are uninformed and dont seem to care much about what you want or need. Its hours are odd, they are usually never available when you truly need them and they are extremely slow.If you open a credit card with them and your credit card gets lost, compromised or stolen it takes them 7 to 10 business days to get you a new one.I didnt have a credit card for two weeks one time. They also have an online system that locks your account randomly and you have to call in or get online to unlock it constantly. When you call to ask why it locked they dont know why. They dont offer rewards or anything like that either ..Overall, the experience has just been stressful rather than nice and fun.
