James Valle & Company, CPA’s – Legit or Scam?

I came across a critical review of James Valle & Company, CPA’s on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Complete THIEF!’.

DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against James Valle & Company, CPA’s with a pinch of salt.

James Valle & Company, CPA is a complete THIEF! It is interesting that on his website he has an article on how to identify one.I guess it takes one to know one. I am writing this review hopefully to prevent others from being taken advantage of by this man.Mr. Valle presented himself as almost too nice and stated he provided “value-added” services in addition to doing taxes because “doing your taxes is just doing your taxes” but he never did my taxes, he created major stress for me, and in the end I had to pay him $1004.55 for nothing plus late tax penalties!When I first came to him he said he would charge me less or equal to what I had paid before for tax preparation but when April came around and nobody was contacting me I began worrying.I was used to setting appointments and getting things done in time.I sent him an email in May telling him that I felt like I had no accountant and that I was going to consider going elsewhere.He apologized and asked me to come in and only told me that I should let him do my business taxes because he had already done “so much work” but he never told me what he did or showed me anything.In July again I asked what the status was and he said he was still waiting for me to respond to questions that my bookkeeper had responded to months ago.At this point in time I soon realized that since I would not be a longer term client he was trying to nickel and dime me for everything and trying to charge me for unnecessary time and that this was going nowhere.He said every time he had to get on the phone with me it was really expensive b/c it was “his” time.Well I am sorry but if you’re not doing your job I am going to call the owner or at least the person I have been communicating with.And I never met this mystery person Kim (Gnoc) that was supposedly “working” on my taxes.I told him that these were taxes and that he was not a lawyer.He said that my bill was up to past $1700.00 and that now he needed to contact my last accountant for questions on the depreciation of my leased car? I could only imagine how much longer and how much more money he would try to get out of this.I decided to discontinue with him and hire a new CPA.I was also recently told by 2 other CPAs that he should have advised me about paying April 2018 estimated taxes.I now have to pay a penalty for. I did ask for the money back and he declined.Please save yourself from this dishonest, wolf in disguise, doing taxes is stressful enough.8/21/18 Nice, you made it so that I cannot respond to your inaccurate statements.I have been contacted by a few other people that you have also taken advantage of.
