I came across a critical review of Lenda on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Lenda Is A Joke’.
DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Lenda with a pinch of salt.

Trying to get my home loan since Nov. They kept rushing me to pay for an appraisal saying we just want to close your home loan in 1 month.Lenda is a joke. I have been trying to get my home loan since Nov.They kept rushing me to pay for an appraisal saying we just want to close your home loan in 1 month, hahahaha yeah right.I submitted all my details required, paid for a home appraisal that came back great, however this loan was never closed because this company can not get their act together.I highly advise everyone not to even give this company 1 second of your time.I wasted my time, money and never got my loan as promised and now the rates have gone up. If only i could take legal action????Your Desired Resolution:I just refinanced this loan 8 months ago with another company and they had no issues.Lenda promised me they could refi my loan in 1 month and reduce the PMIs to zero and get me on a conventional loan.They miss led me and I ended up losing money, time, and the ability to refinance at the rate promised.I want them to finish my loan or tell me why they cannot in writing.This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at the Better Business Bureau, and then forwarded to the business for their response.It is our policy to allow the business 10 working days to respond to your complaint.You will be notified when the business has responded.

It is difficult to ascertain whether Lenda is a Scam, or Legit, based on this single review. In the coming weeks/days, I will try to research deeper into Lenda, analyze and list more critical reviews and identify a pattern (or lack of) to substantiate the claim mentioned above.
Regardless, until then, we give the benefit of doubt to the reviewer and list Lenda as someone you need to avoid (for now).
