I came across a critical review of LoanSnap, Inc. on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Highly Unethical’.
DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against LoanSnap, Inc. with a pinch of salt.
Here is what the review says –
LoanSnap, Inc. utilizes “Neighbor Spoofing methods to trick potential customers into answering their calls. They received my # from LendingTree.Case in point: I have a Baltimore, MD are code RESERVED for cellphones. (I got the # in 2004).I moved to California in 2010. DLJ FInancial is based in Southern California.Any company that is willing to spoof/change their phone number, and furthermore do it to convince busy prospective customers that a “local neighbor/business is calling them IS UNETHICAL.If on first contact they are willing to lie and deceit, imagine what the mortgage/equity/HELOC process will be like?By voluntarily and knowingly making it look like the phone# they call from is local to you — you un-earned my business from the get-go.
