I came across a critical review of Midland Mortgage on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘They Make The Mortgage Business Look Disgusting’.
DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Midland Mortgage with a pinch of salt.

I have a current mortgage with Midland. I was late by 30 days before xmas several years ago.I paid current and made sure they posted the money prior to being reported.After the holidays they put me in pre-foreclosure for 2 months and reported me late by 60 days for 5 months starting the January.I was not late, and when you are not late there is no way to communicate over the phone with anyone.Email the vice president is your only option. So last year I changed insurance companies.They have this website you go to change insurance info. What a joke that was.My agent sent them a letter that they did not read.Mailed a check to the old insurance company, my new policy was to cancel so I paid it myself.A month later they mailed a check to the new insurance company; but not before adjusting my escrow account up by $120 per month.The new insurance company mailed a check back to the escrow where it was promptly lost.If there is ever anything other than your regular payment on time, it will get messed up by this company.I am sure they operate on a shoe string budget and charge the holders almost nothing for servicing. The only way to fix this problem is to file a complaint with the CFPB.I did fine out from my insurance agent, who once lived in OKC, to call Medfirst Bank and they will transfer you to their mortgage division.Infinite hold lost in their phone system! Avoid this company if you can; they make the mortgage business look disgusting.
