North American Financial – Legit or Scam?

I came across a critical review of North American Financial on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Loan Service’.

DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against North American Financial with a pinch of salt.

Here is what the review says –

I was recommended by friends to use North American Financial. The loan officer that helped me was Mike — let me start by saying that at first he seemed to be very efficient until it was time for closing.I was told that I would be closing 3 days sooner than expected and I was impressed.I was happy, therefore I had already packed all my things and moved in with my sister since I only needed three days.I had already scheduled my utilities to start that same Tuesday.Then I was told that they ran into some issues that I was going to be closing on the date assigned (Friday).I was ok with it because I understood that that was the original date.Then I’m told that I’d be closing Monday, and I just now spoke with them and now they’re saying it will be the following Friday.I have been living out of boxes and can’t stay at my sisters any longer.I will be renting a storage in the mean time simply because they did not turn in the paper work on time.The day that I was supposed to be closing is when they decide to send the verification of employment to the company I used to work for — really? I know this because I used to work for my dad and that’s what his assistant told me.So, were you ever on time when doing my paper work? I do NOT recommend using them.I was the one that needed to reach out to them to know about the status of the loan, never did they call me to let me know what was going on.Sometimes they wouldn’t even answer or reply to my text messages until I reached out to my Realtor and he’d find out for me.They did not even apologize for the delay – the least thing that they could do is refund my hotel and storage fee.

It is difficult to ascertain whether North American Financial is a Scam, or Legit, based on this single review. In the coming weeks/days, I will try to research deeper into North American Financial, analyze and list more critical reviews and identify a pattern (or lack of) to substantiate the claim mentioned above.

Regardless, until then, we give the benefit of doubt to the reviewer and list North American Financial as someone you need to avoid (for now).
