I came across a critical review of Residential Lending on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Lost That Place’.
DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Residential Lending with a pinch of salt.
Here is what the review says –
Brian is nice enough, but consistently leaves out important details of the loan process that are really critical for borrowers.Example 1: I tried to secure a re-fi based on reasonable comparable units, in my condo complex.Brian agreed with my analysis, I paid for an estimate (about $600) and it came back way low.To be clear, this isnt the fault of Residential Lending but I was not counseled by Brian as to this possibility. So Im out $600.Example 2: I called him again! I decided to move from my condo, and buy a new primary residence. He had all my financial details, I described the situation, he worked with my RE agent while I was out of town and provided an approval letter, and I made an offer.Long story short, he came back to me and said, “you have to sell the condo first!?!?Geez, information that would have been useful, BEFORE I MADE AN OFFER!Lost that place, obviously but not another $600, thankfully.Another note of caution: Brian talked to me a lot about his financial motivations, and ultimately thats true of any broker, but anyone with reasonably good credit is better off at their bank, or Credit Union any other broker, actually.

It is difficult to ascertain whether Residential Lending is a Scam, or Legit, based on this single review. In the coming weeks/days, I will try to research deeper into Residential Lending, analyze and list more critical reviews and identify a pattern (or lack of) to substantiate the claim mentioned above.
Regardless, until then, we give the benefit of doubt to the reviewer and list Residential Lending as someone you need to avoid (for now).
