Shea Homes – Legit or Scam?

I came across a critical review of Shea Homes on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Unfair And Unethical Practices’.

DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Shea Homes with a pinch of salt.

Here is what the review says –

Heather is incompetent and her boss John is no better.They roped you in with the $4K incentives then they use the switch and bait and predatory lending practice on you.They conspired with the sales folks at Shea Homes to make sure you don’t close timely or make it your fault somehow so they terminate the contract, keep your ernest money, then sell the house at the higher price due to the hot housing market in Denver.There’s a reason why customers on the web are calling them Shady Shea.In my opinion, Shea Home obviously made their money by stepping on people.Not sure which federal agency(s) regulates builders or mortgage companies but Shea Homes need to be investigated for their unfair and unethical practices.

It is difficult to ascertain whether Shea Homes is a Scam, or Legit, based on this single review. In the coming weeks/days, I will try to research deeper into Shea Homes, analyze and list more critical reviews and identify a pattern (or lack of) to substantiate the claim mentioned above.

Regardless, until then, we give the benefit of doubt to the reviewer and list Shea Homes as someone you need to avoid (for now).
