Uptown Mortgage – Legit or Scam?

I came across a critical review of Uptown Mortgage on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Beware guys’.

DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Uptown Mortgage with a pinch of salt.

I called them and talked with Lana, she was very nice but I ended up not proceeding with Uptown Mortgage because I found their rates higher than other firms.I NEVER submit any application but got a letter from them showing my credit score from all credit bureaus!!I don’t remember giving them my permission to put any inquiry to my credit report!Beware guys, never give your information to them unless you really want to go forward with them.

It is difficult to ascertain whether Uptown Mortgage is a Scam, or Legit, based on this single review. In the coming weeks/days, I will try to research deeper into Uptown Mortgage, analyze and list more critical reviews and identify a pattern (or lack of) to substantiate the claim mentioned above.
