Western Union – Legit or Scam?

I came across a critical review of Western Union on a Scam Reporting website – DirtyScam.com, titled ‘Horrid Customer Service’.

DirtyScam allows anonymous submission of complaints from angry consumers and victims of scams. Since the website is hosted offshore (probably in Russia or India), we take this (negative) review against Western Union with a pinch of salt.

Here is what the review says –

Western Union has the most unprofessional and horrid customer service I have ever witnessed!I am now at the point where I realized A.; These people are stupid and B.; There is absolutely no way to fix my problem because they are not set up to have good customer service.About two months ago, someone for no reason, red flagged me and my mom, with her using the service of sending me money. Then the number for the money she already sent, she had to refund. But because of the red flag, they had to perform an investigation to make sure nothing bad is happening, with me and my mother such as elderly scamming. The people who perform the investigation have to send you a form to fill out basically getting who you are and your side of the story. But they have no phone number and when you email them you just have to wait, maybe for days for them to call you, but god forbid you were to miss it, then congrats! No call back number. The whole time it seems like they don’t have a good computer program in customer service to update about anybody’s current case or what is happening because every person you talk to knew nothing even when you gave them the case number, every time!So unless, I realized, magically me, my mom, and every person we have ever talked to or has worked on our case got on the same phone call it was never going to be fixed cause if one says you’re cleared its almost like the never put anything in the system which makes me truly wonder do they have computers or are they pretending to be typing information. At this point, I have told my mom just get her money back and let’s continue using WALMART, at least when I have an issue with sending money from Walmart to Walmart there is an actual person who helps me that I can talk to face to face.
